iMes Historian® AM is a long term archiving system for alarm analysis and reduction
Features:
► Transparent analysis of all alarms and events
All alarms are shown tabularly and always automatically updated. An extra register for immediate
identification of applied messages is provided. There are a lot of possibilities to configure the
reports clearly and fast. The display of messages can be sorted, grouped and filtered individually
regarding their attributes. Recurring reportings can be saved dependent on the user or plant.
► Identification of potential for optimization
Top alarms and sequential alarms can be identified via the frequency reports. The frequency
reports can also be individually sorted, grouped and filtered. The result can be illustrated as a
circle diagram, for example grouped by th origin of its messages.
On the basis of bar diagrams upcoming alarms can be identified and therefore conclusions of
good and bad plant handling can be drawn.
► Feedback about the practised alarm management
The identifications of periodically recurring alarms helps to discover potential of training and to
find defective measuring devices and acccordingly sources of incidents.
A analysis of the KPIs according to ISA-18.2 provides essential operating figures about the
practised alarm management, for example the rate of alarms per operator or information about
successive and flittering alarms.
► Shorter reaction time
Immediate and fast reaction to alarms and events by the plant handling staff is enhanced via
automatic, person-related alerting per SMS, Email or phone.
The strategy of alarm is individually configurable through alarm trigger and therefore adaptable
to all requirements of the customer.

With the aid of the immediately provided information quick reaction to alarms and reduction of

All plant-relevant information like curve progression, alarms, events, limit value violations
and laboratory data can be overlooked easily.
For better illustration there is a y-axis per curve which can be orientated parallelly or
vertically. For recurring reportings arbitrary curves can be saved individually related users or
plants. Consumption data can be calculated ad hoc and independent from a summation
counter by using the reference tape and intregral function.(consumption of energy,
operating resources, etc.).
Long time periods can be illustrated quickly and clearly via envelopes (Min, Max, average).
The production parameter of a batch can selected conveniently via the batch number.
►Microsoft Excel®-Reporting:
Individual customer reports and standard reports, for example regarding ATV-H260 or
M260 can be automatically filled with instantaneous process values. Statistic features
are provided for annual, monthly or weekly reports.
► Calculated tags (mathematical evaluation)
Combination of tags via mathematical operators or functions, for example.: „voltage“ *
„amperage“ = „demand“. Consumption values can be calculated together with the integral
function. Costs for energy consumption can be determined via multiplication with the static
curve „energy prize“.
► Manual recording of laboratory data
Multiple laboratories and measuring values can be configurated freely. Laboratory data can
be collected with the corresponding timestamp and illustrated in the curves section together
with alarms, events and limt value violations.
